Today I have a huge pleasure to talk to one of the best Smart Euro players.
EpicKind is a big part of Ukraine's success, he alone made over $9,000 in EV in two weeks of the group stage.
It's been almost eight years since he became a professional poker player and it's great to see him successfully adapt to the newest format:
Smart Spin: Hello, EpicKind! I love your nickname, as a reference to your "epic" score in the group stage of Smart Euro. But before we go into more details, I've heard you are an experienced, successful player. How long do you play poker?
EpicKind: I don't remember the exact time when I started to play
Smart Spin: What's your biggest success since you started playing poker?
EpicKind: Мy last real job was 8 years ago. Since then, I am living from poker profit only. Can we count that as a success?
Smart Spin: How did you start playing Spin & Go's? How did you move up the stakes?
EpicKind: I remember it was about 2 years ago. Because I was a cash reg and I was kind of bored with it, I'd tried the new format. I failed. I didn't have any clue how to play hypers. Then, I started to work on my HU hypers game (because that was the only information available back then) and I found a way to win at the tables. I did have a good winning rate

Smart Spin: It's nice to hear that :) Going back to Smart Euro - you are
EpicKind: To be honest, I really don't know what a regular month is for an Elite player. It is my first month at these stakes. I got promoted at the
Smart Spin: How do you like Smart Euro so far?
EpicKind: I like it! I am a competitive person. I feel more motivated when there is a challenge.
Smart Spin: You play against Sweden's VHERRERAL now. Do you think you can beat him?
EpicKind: As a fresh member of Smart Spin, I don't know most of the people yet. I don't know what he is capable of. I can say I'll do my best and also, I believe in my team. They are nice people and strong players.
My answer is YES - I believe we can beat them
Smart Spin: What are your goals, what do you want to achieve next?
EpicKind: To improve
Smart Spin: Good goals! Do you have any expectations money-wise?
EpicKind: Nope. I don't have any money-wise goals, only skill-wise.
Smart Spin: I wish you good luck!
